MUNICIPAL EDUCATION DIRECTORATE
GHANA EDUCATION SERVICES
The Education Directorate is responsible for supporting and coordinating the delivery of education services within the municipality or district. It works closely with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and other stakeholders.
The key mandate of the Education Directorate is to be in charge of the Management and Supervision of all Pre-tertiary (Basic, SHS, Vocational, and Technical) schools both private and public within the Municipality.

To provide accessible, learner- centered education that promotes academic excellence, creativity, social responsibility and empowers learners to reach their full potentials.
VISION
All-inclusive , equitable and quality education for children in the Agona West Municipality. Schools under the Education Directorate are categorized into two Circuits.
