HON. ERIC GYAMFI ODOOM CONFIRMED AS AGONA WEST MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTICE

The Agona West Municipal Assembly has held a confirmation ceremony for the Government nominee, Hon. Eric Gyamfi Odoom as the Municipal Chief Executive at the forecourt of the Agona West Municipal Assembly on Wednesday 16th April 2025.
The occasion was graced by Esteemed Guest such as the Central Regional Minister, the Agona West Member of Parliament Hon. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey, The District Police Commander, Chief of Agona Traditional Area Osaaberima Nyarko Eku, Formal Presiding Members of the Agona West Municipal Assembly, Chairman of Agona West NDC, Agona West Chief Imam, Agona West Electoral commissioner and Staff of Agona West Municipal Assembly
Hon. Ernestina Ofori Dandbey, Member of Parliament of Agona West Constituency in her opening remarks expressed her gratitude to all present at the ceremony and also pleaded with the Hon. Assembly Members to make the confirmation of the MCE nominee possible.
TheCentral Regional Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for Gomoa East has asked the Assembly members to make both himself and the President proud by confirming the MCE so he could assume office immediately.
The moment of truth arrived when the Electoral Commissioner revealed the Government Nominee, Hon.Eric Gyamfi Odoom and stated the rules of the election. After a round of elections, the house recorded 44 ‘yes’ which was a 100% vote cast, confirming the nominee. The newly Elected Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Eric Gyamfi Odoom was sworn in by the Regional Minister Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah.
Hon.Eric Gyamfi Odoom acknowledged all present and shared his gratitude for the support from both party and non-party members. He also expressed his thanks to God as well as the Member of Parliament for Agona West Hon. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey.
He promised that in collaboration with member of parliament, they will ensure to take advantage of the President’s manifesto especially for the youth on adwuma wura, one million coders and poultry in agriculture. Also, he stated that he will improve the states of the schools and hospital in the municipality and also construct more roads to remake the municipal stand tall among all the municipalities. He finally urged the Assembly to uphold the principles of The President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and help fulfil his Manifesto.
