TOWNHALL MEETING AT ABODOM

Municipal and District Assemblies are mandated by the constitution to account for their stewardship and the management of the public resources that have been entrusted into their care by the people.

In view of this, the Agona West Municipal Assembly organized its first Town Hall Meeting for the year on Tuesday 28th May, 2024 at Abodom a farming community within the Agona West Municipality to interact with the members of the community and also create a platform for them to ask questions on developmental issues and utilization of Assembly resources to better their lives.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Evans Addison Coleman in his speech highlighted on the incredible achievements the Agona West Municipal Assembly has made over the years.

On his behalf, the Municipal Planning Officer Ms. Angela Baffoe presented to the people the highlights of programmes, projects and activities as well as policy decisions that the Assembly was implementing for sustainable development through a broader and effective consensus building with the public.

There were presentations by various Heads of Departments of the Assembly on administration, revenue mobilization, health, sanitation, financial accountability, infrastructure, and Agriculture.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Simon Asare called on all stakeholders to support the Assembly in order to fulfil its set development agenda.
